Today, Dave is going to show you how to tune your violin.
There are four strings, but how do you know what they’re supposed to sound like?
Each string should be a different note – G, D, A, E. Most violinists tune their A string first, and a tuner is super helpful.
You can get a tuning app for a phone, tablet, or computer.
In this video, Dave is using a tuner that will give you a tone to match on your instrument. Use the tuning knobs on your instrument to adjust the tone of your string up or down until it matches! Let your ears be the guide, and be patient!
What you’ll do in this video: play, warm up, listen.
