🎶💛 Thank You to the Port Hope & District Hea 🎶💛 Thank You to the Port Hope & District Healthcare Foundation! 💛🎶

As we wrap up our 12th incredible season, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to the Port Hope and District Healthcare Foundation (PHDHF) for their generous support at this critical time.

Thanks to PHDHF, SONG was able to finish our final weeks of class strong, host our joyful year-end concert this past weekend, and give every student a proper send-off from their instructors this week. 💐🎤🎻

PHDHF directs funding to local organizations that promote health and wellness, and we’re proud to say that SONG fits that mission. SONG uses music as functional art, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and a deep sense of belonging—tools that support lifelong wellness.

Your support has made a real, lasting difference in the lives of kids and youth across Northumberland. THANK YOU for believing in the power of music... and in the kids we serve. 💛

This weekend’s Float Your Funny: Stand Up for Kids was an absolute blast—and we’re still smiling! Now in its 6th amazing year, this community-favourite comedy event brought laughs, love, and $1,000 in support of SONG! 💥👏

What makes this event so special? It’s kids raising money for kids—a joyful reminder of the power of community, creativity, and connection. We're incredibly honoured to have been this year’s recipient.

A massive shoutout to the event’s fearless (and funniest!) organizer, Sean Carthew—a local legend and all-around-nice-guy—whose dedication to creating space for laughter, play, and performance inspires us all. Sean, thank you for reminding us just how important it is to laugh, play, and SING! 🎶❤️

To everyone who attended, performed, donated, or laughed along—you helped make something truly magical. THANK YOU! 🌟

🎶 A Heartfelt THANK YOU to the Ontario Arts Cou 🎶 A Heartfelt THANK YOU to the Ontario Arts Council & the Ontario Government for their support of SONG's Artists In Communities and Schools Grant 🎉
We’re incredibly grateful for the support that made this season’s In-School Programming possible! With this vital funding, SONG was able to reach three new rural schools—bringing the joy and benefits of music to 147 students who had never experienced SONG before. 💙
Thanks to this initiative, our incredible Teaching Artists — Shannon Linton, David Schotzko, and Lucas Marchand — worked directly alongside KPRDSB Educators to deliver high-quality music curriculum in Northumberland's, Burnham Public, Roseneath Centennial, and Terry Fox Schools. Even better? We left behind teaching tools and resources so the music continues long after our team has packed up the last drumstick. 🥁🎤🎹
This program is a shining example of how innovative support helps ensure rural students have access to enriching, equitable arts education—keeping opportunities on par with their urban peers.

👏 A very special thank you to our local MPP David Piccini for his continued support of SONG and our mission to keep music alive in classrooms across Northumberland.

We’re proud to be building a more musical, inclusive future—one school at a time. 🎵
