🎷 Ready to Jam? Join SONG’s Jazz Ensemble! 🎶 For 🎷 Ready to Jam? Join SONG’s Jazz Ensemble! 🎶 For students Grade 8–12 who are curious about jazz. Learn how to improvise, jam with others, and maybe even build their own band? Starting January 29, SONG is launching an 8-week Jazz Improv Workshop. And we want youth in the groove! 🧠 What students will learn: 🎵 Improv skills on their instrument of choice (don’t have one? We’ve got some to borrow!) 🎶 Jazz basics like Call and Response, Blues, Swing, and more 🥁 How to jam with a group and create real-time musical conversations 💥 How to turn solo practice into band-ready fun 🎤 Get a chance to perform live at our SoundStage events! 🧑‍🎤 Students will be coached by an internationally-touring jazz artist Colleen Allen and an emerging local pro, both ready to bring out their best. 📍 Location: Port Hope High School ⏰ Time: 6:00–7:30 PM on Thursdays 📆 Dates: Jan 29 – March 25 (8 weeks) 💸 Cost: FREE!
