SONG wins Best Not-for-Profit

๐Ÿ’ซThe Good New Keeps Coming!๐Ÿ’ซ

On Friday Oct 20, 2023 The Port Hope Chamber of Commerce held the 26th annual ๐ŸŒŸBusiness Excellence Awards!๐ŸŒŸ at Port Hope’s Dalewood Golf Club. The evening featured 10 categories honouring our community’s best and brightest.

๐Ÿ’™We are thrilled to announce SONG was awarded ๐ŸŽ–Best Not-for-Profit๐ŸŽ–

This award is given “to a not-for-profit or charitable organization that is committed to improving the overall quality of life for residents and demonstrates outstanding contributions to the community. They resonate an entrepreneurial and innovative approach to making a difference in the social, cultural and /or environmental fabric of the Port Hope Community.”

Lucas, our AD, celebrates with Laurie, SONG’s Chair, and Miles, the ED.

๐Ÿ’œBeing nominated for this was a complete surprise for us โ€” awards like this are dependent on our ๐Ÿคฉfollowers and fans!๐Ÿ˜ The evaluation process was rigorous and the talent in the field was humbling and inspiring.

The list of nominees are our friends and collaborators and we want to acknowledge the hard work and dedication they all show to our community:

  • Critical Mass Art
  • FBC/Hope Community Church
  • Greenwood Coalition
  • Community Health Centres of Northumberland
  • Northumberland Humane Society
  • Second Helpings Thrift Store
  • SONG: Sounds of the Next Generation
  • The Rose Quest

๐Ÿ’šWe are so proud to be part of those working to make this a better place to live. ๐Ÿ™Thank you for believing in us in Port Hope, in Cobourg, and across Northumberland!๐Ÿ™

๐ŸงกIf you want to see more of what we can do to make our community better, you still can sponsor a student in SONG for $20/month, the price of a weekly coffee โ˜• ($5/week!).
