💣 Introducing the first Growing Stages Featured Ac 💣 Introducing the first Growing Stages Featured Act: Bombdive! 💥 We are incredibly excited to announce Bombdive as the first act selected through Growing Stages! Over the past year, this energetic young band has put in the work — and our community has noticed. Their musicianship and stage presence have grown enormously, fans are showing up to cheer them on, and their performance at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival this summer showed just how far they’ve come. BombDive has built momentum through gigs, SONG’s School of Rock and SoundStage programs, and their own creative work. This summer, they even debuted original material they wrote themselves at School of Rock. Now we get to help them take another step forward. ⚠️But Growing Stages was never just about choosing one act.⚠️ We were blown away by the young artists who put themselves forward, shared their music, and took a chance on this opportunity. To every artist who entered: THANK YOU. We want to see you on stage too! That’s why SONG is inviting all Growing Stages entrants to join us at the Friday night SoundStage at Cultivate Festival, where aspiring young artists will have an opportunity to step onto the stage — and we’ll be giving our Growing Stages artists a special shout-out as part of the night. And Northumberland? Let’s show up for them!🙌 Come hear Bombdive. Come discover the other young musicians emerging in our community. Cheer loudly. Bring friends. Follow their work. SONG is excited to return to Road to Cultivate this summer with one of our favourite community traditions: a joyful, all-ages drum circle in Memorial Park. And this year, we’re adding a new SONG twist. Join us this Thursday at 6:00 PM as Jacob Meleras, an emerging professional musician joining us from Ottawa, kicks things off with a 30-minute performance before we open things up for community drumming. Our next SONG SoundStage happens August 8, and thanks to the Municipality of Port Hope, we have a longer stage time for this special summer edition — which means artists can submit more than one song! Big News for young Northumberland artists! SONG a Big News for young Northumberland artists! SONG and Cultivate Festival are launching Growing Stages — a new pathway helping local youth musicians move from community performance opportunities to a professional festival stage.🎶🎸🔊 This year, one artist or group will be selected as the Growing Stages Featured Artist 2026 and will perform a 30-minute set at Cultivate Festival this September.🤩 The selected artist will also receive professional photo and video content from the Cultivate Festival media team, inclusion in SONG and Cultivate promotional materials, and support preparing for the festival-stage experience. Applications are open to Northumberland youth artists ages 13–18 who are ready to perform a 30-minute family-friendly set and can share a short artist profile, promotional photo, and performance video.
