Choral Program
Social development through fun, free, and beautiful music
2021-22 program will be offered in-person and online
The SONG choral program is a fun, audition-free group for children and youth ages 6 and up, with a focus on social development through the pursuit of musical excellence.
In the SONG choir, students learn healthy singing techniques, rhythm and note reading skills, how to sing in harmony, body percussion, and a whole lot more!
Students perform in 2 concerts per year and have the option to perform at several other community events.
Teamwork, confidence building, feeling safe, and having fun are the most important parts of what we do. And in the end, we also make beautiful music!
"I love coming to choir! Singing makes me relaxed."
Do I have to know how to sing?
No! You do not need to have any previous musical experience to join any of our choirs.
How old do I have to be?
The SONG choir is divided into 3 age groups: Primary (Grades 1 - 3), Junior (Grades 4 - 6), and Senior (Grades 7+). The different groups rehearse at different times.
Where are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are offered in Cobourg and Port Hope, and students are invited to join whichever is most convenient for them and their family. This year we are also offering a virtual choir option.
When are rehearsals?
Email info@songprogram.org for our full program schedule and locations.
How much does it cost to join SONG?
SONG is completely free to our students, thanks to the generosity of our donors and volunteers.
