Growing Stages: Young Artist Showcase at Cultivate Festival

SONG and Cultivate Festival are teaming up to help Northumberland’s next generation of musicians take the stage during Cultivate Festival weekend, September 25–27.

This year, SONG will be part of the festival in two exciting ways:

SONG SoundStage — Friday Night

Young performers are invited to sign up for a special SONG SoundStage during Cultivate Festival on Friday night. This is a chance for youth artists to perform for a festival audience, build confidence, and be part of one of Northumberland’s most beloved community events.

Growing Stages Main Stage Set — Sunday

SONG and Cultivate will also present the first-ever Growing Stages Featured Artist on the Cultivate Main Stage on Sunday.

Growing Stages is a new Young Artist Development Program for musicians ages 13–18, created to help emerging artists grow from local stages to larger festival opportunities. One artist or group will be selected to perform a featured 30-minute set on the Cultivate Main Stage.

The selected 2026 Growing Stages Featured Artist will be announced on August 27.

Cultivate Festival runs September 25–27 in Port Hope and is Pay-What-You-Can, making it one of the most accessible and community-minded festival weekends in the region.
