Johanne Moller

Johanne is a dedicated piano instructor who finds joy in helping students connect with music as a tool for emotional expression and building self-confidence. She currently teaches from her Cobourg home and the Bowmanville Long and McQuade studio. To conquer her performance anxiety, she occasionally performs and accompanies others, and enjoys singing in adult choirs as much as she can.

Growing up, Johanne's life revolved around piano, inspired by her mom's masterful proficiency and love of all things Chopin. She also studied voice and worked as a lead soprano and soloist in various Kingston choirs. She then studied organ and directed a junior church choir while studying music at the University of Western Ontario.

After a career shift into Public Health Inspection, then subsequently starting a family with her husband Tim and two kids, Magnus and Nomi (and Bertie-boy the cat), she's returned to her first love, music. Her musical journey has taught her that overcoming challenges and obstacles bring us closer to knowing and loving ourselves. This serves as the fundamental principle motivating her current piano instruction methods and approach.
