Meet Christy Flindall, a singer in our Safe Harbour mentor choir and a SONG Board Director.

We asked Christy why she decided to become so involved in SONG. She told us:

“I am involved with SONG because I believe in the organization’s core values: that every human being has the right to a life of dignity and contribution, filled with beauty; and that every child can learn to experience and express music deeply, can receive its many benefits, and can make positive life choices as a result of this learning.

What I know is that the things that SONG gives its students – welcoming them into a caring community, giving them the opportunity to experience and express music and other art forms, allowing them to be part of something bigger than themselves – are the same benefits that I, as an adult, receive from singing in a choir.”

Email info@songprogram.org if you’d like to get involved through volunteering or donating to SONG.
